Specialty Equipment Market Association, or SEMA as the rest of the world knows it. Once again we attended SEMA and much to our surprise there was a resurgence of enthusiasm in the air. The past couple years at SEMA had been good, but it did not have that “WOW” factor, maybe it had something to do with a harsh economy or whatever.

This year there were so many manufacture builds that they overflowed into the outside parking and show areas, and not just slapped together garage builds, we saw a lot of quality built vehicles. There was also a continued growth in manufacture and small company support, and everyone busted out the best of what they had.

From the amazing Re-Fuel Camaro convertible to the Scion FR-S army that invaded the convention center. Booth after booth, car after car, it was all head turners. Not to mention that 50,000+ crossed the threshold of the convention center over the course of 4 days. Also surpising is the slow growth of consumers that attend SEMA. While primarily an industry only event, there is a growing number of general consumners wandering the halls.

After 4 days, 20+ miles of walking, and countless meetings we had covered just about every corner of the convention. Hoping that we saw everything there was to see; SEMA 2012 was the best SEMA since the late 90’s, and we are happy to bring you the coverage.
