Driver Project: Corey Hosford
Behind the KSport 350Z
Videogrpahy by RolyDee
Drivers, they are more than the pilot of a four wheeled rocket-ship. One of our favorite drivers is Corey Hosford of KSport. Corey standing a shadowing 6’3” tall is “The Boss” as his teammates like to call him. He entered the world of pro-amateur drifting for the first time earlier last year and shocked the drift community as he quickly made his way to the podium. He earned three podium finishes out of only 5 events.
Residing in Gilbert, AZ he is quite the local hero and friend to many. When he’s not sliding the KSport 350Z in the Formula D Professional...

Specialty Equipment Market Association, or SEMA as the rest of the world knows it. Once again we attended SEMA and much to our surprise there was a resurgence of enthusiasm in the air. The past couple years at SEMA had been good, but it did not have that “WOW” factor, maybe it had something to do with a harsh economy or whatever.
This year there were so many manufacture builds that they overflowed into the outside parking and show areas, and not just slapped together garage builds, we saw a lot of quality built vehicles. There was also a continued growth...

Formula D Musical Chairs?
In an interesting turn of events we find FormulaD Driver Joon Maeng without a seat for Seattle. Bergenholtz Racing issued an official statement yesterday afternoon stating they would be parting ways with Joon Maeng.
“Effective immediately, Bergenholtz Racing and Joon Maeng have both decided to part ways. “Though we both gave our blood sweat and tears to achieve podiums, we still couldn’t get the formula right. In our quest to win, we realize that change must occur and sometimes that involves tough decisions. It is with great heart-felt regret that this has to happen but I believe it...

Formula Drift 2011
This 2011 season of Formula Drift has been to me the most exciting to date. Becoming a media sponsor for the series was extremely exciting for us here at State of Stance, as we have watched this series grow from its roots to a full-fledged professional racing sanction. Ryan Sage and Jim Liaw along with their team have dedicated numerous amounts of time and effort to make sure that each season is even better than the last.
Founded in 2003 as a sister company to Slipstream Global Marketing, the same partnership that brought D1 Grand Prix to the United States, Formula Drift Holdings has kept our automotive passion alive by...
When Formula D came to Florida we wanted to go all out seeing as it was on our home turf. We enlisted the help of as much media personnel as John P. would let me. I called my friend Mikey Bajer, a film student, to come shoot a great video for us. Although he has never shot an automotive event before and the last drift event he attended was 7 years ago (Falken Drift Showoff at Homestead) after seeing some of his work I felt as if he was up to the challenge and would produce an amazing video. David Atash and Brian Clementi were also more than ready to run back and forth between the pro cars right before they take off to get some astounding...
Formula Drift makes it to Wall Speedway in NJ for their 8th time. It was hot, muggy and after swallowing mouth loads of rubber and inhaling gallons of tire smoke; I can honestly say it was a great time!
This is one of the smaller courses on the FD schedule, but due to its high banks and figure 8 infield, it created some of the best FD action I’ve seen this season. The wall on turn 1, did what Wall is most famous for, claim car after car. Parts were flying and competition was intense.
Enjoy the pics from Joe Dantone and stay tuned for parts 2 & 3 of Round 4...
While we work on some recent event coverage, we thought we’d share a little more Formula D Round 2 coverage to get you hyped up for Round 3 here in Florida.
Everyone needs to come out to this event! I am being completely honest when I say Formula D hosts the best drift events I’ve...

Here’s a short compilation of some of the FC (2nd Gen RX-7) drivers in Pro Am
Props to all the Florida Drivers! I wish we could have got more footage but unfortunately the GoPro battery died…should have charged the night before. Next time at PBIR we will have more Pro Am...
Here are some shots from Day 1 (Friday) of Formula Drift Round 2 in Atlanta. Friday was the day for Pro Am Practice, Qualifying and Competition with some Pro practice and Qualifying mixed in. It was great to see all of the Florida drivers out there kicking butt…hell, 10 out of the 16 drivers that qualified in Pro Am and 2 of the 3 winners of the competition were Florida drivers. Really goes to show that Florida is making a name for itself and I can’t wait to see what happens next round on our own turf. See you at Palm Beach International Raceway guys!

Events | Formula D – Las Vegas :: In The Pits

Although I had a media pass and had access to any location that I could wander into, the great thing about this event is that you didn’t need a special pass to get into the pit area. The layout was awesome,...

I had the great pleasure of flying out to Las Vegas this past weekend to cover the Formula D event they were holding at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. I met a lot of great people, bumped into some familiars from Florida (randomly), and had a...
