Redmonds Mustang pt.1 Words by Emil Garcia Photography by Nelson Queralta While in LA for Formula D Long Beach a few weeks back, the State of Stance team took some time to hang out with a good friend of ours, Joey Redmond. This is just a sneak peek into what’s to come in the future, stick around for updates on this powerful pony! ...
HIN’s WDrift | Orlando

HIN’s WDrift Orlando Hot Import Nights Goes Sideways Photography by Michael Alvarado What can be said about HIN. Long after several changes in management and a few name leases; HIN is still the most recognized sanction in the show car circuit. Promising cars, models, music, and lifestyle; some event deliver while others fall short. Participation has slowly declined over the last few years but there are still many that attend and hold the memories of HIN events pre F&F. Recognizing this, they started dabbing in the drifting game to keep up with the current pace of their fan-base. Now combined with WDrift, the events offer a 2-day...

Small World, Big Build

Small World, Big Build Photography and words by Nelson Queralta My photographic collaborations here at State of Stance usually come as assignments. When shooting a feature I initially see the car, then start to get an idea on where I want to shoot it. At the same time I get in contact with the owner, which most of the time I end up meeting for the first time the day of the shoot. Car owners are awesome; they’re always willing to help so the shoot goes smoothly, whether it’s driving to a remote location or moving the car around multiple times to get the right angle. Knowing this, I always plan everything out before so I can be the...
V2Lab | The Return

V2Lab Mystery Meat The Return Photography by Christopher Larrela After an auspicious event in 2012, V2Lab returned to the meet game with a sequel to their Mystery Meat event. Much can be said about the chain of events that took place at last years meet. Vendors had to be moved, cars where towed, and Orlando PD had to step in to regulate the flow of people and cars. These were all taken into account this time around and once again what seemed like a nation of cars swamped the streets of Orlando to showcase their builds, see what local vendors had to offer and exchange nods with fellow tuners. Here are some shots from this years event. ...

Formula D | Long Back 2013 Another Season Begins Photography by Nelson Queralta Another year of Formula D is here. As the qualifying rounds started, there were a few changes for the 2013 season. For starters, all drivers got two runs to make qualifying. The first run was your qualifying run. However, if a driver did not make the Top 16, they were given a second run to make the Top 32. There were some surprises though as Nate Hamilton and Corey Hosford did not make qualifying. In addition Walker Wilkerson did not pass tech. There was some excitement in qualifying as Justin Pawlak had a bad wreck. The car was repaired and he did make Top...
Passing the Passion to the Future

Passing the Passion to the Future Planting the Seed Now for a Future Scene Photography by Rolando Diaz The one thing that bothers me the most about our scene today is the division. It seems like only a few years ago when we started State of Stance, we tried our best to break down all the walls and represent a global automotive culture. One in which everyone’s individual state of stance was appreciated. Where hardparked stance cars and track stance cars park side by side, where JDM elitist and Muscle car guys share tuning tips. Still, years later, we still seeing these dividing walls amongst our culture. Yet there is still hope. Ron Hughes...
