The Performance & Racing Industy’s Mini SEMA

Each year, just after SEMA, the Performance & Racing Industry has its own private convention. This one calling the East Coast home. Orlando’s Orange County Convention Center becomes transformed into a candy store for performance junkies.
This year marked the 24th annual event for PRI. Over 1000 racing industry suppliers made their way to show off the latest and greatest. I found the energy to be very high as attendance was up from previous years.
Due to the fact that the event is on a smaller scale than SEMA, it allowed us more time to thoroughly see the concourse and talk with a few of the company reps. Also allowing us some time to catch up with some of our friends which we hadn’t seen since SEMA.
From karting events to dyno exhibitions, there was not a dull moment; and if all the horsepower made you ich to be behind the wheel, there was an amazing real time driving simulator for you to drive. I will say the line for the sim was long, we signed up the try it out at about 10:45am and we didn’t actually get behind the wheel until just after 1:30pm. But man it was worth it!
All in all, it was the best PRI to date. Highest attendance, highest amount of supplier and manufacture booths, and highest amount of participant activities. We’ll definitely be there next year.
