Robb Hopkins is one of those builders that looks to achieve very specific goals when tuning a car. He mentioned to me that he is chasing perfection, chasing the trifecta; power, handling and looks.

Power gets checked off the list with 330whp thanks to a larger turbo, full exhaust, front mount intercooler with custom neon yellow powder coated intercooler piping and intake piping.

Handling gets taken care of courtesy of Megan coilovers which allow this Subaru to sit a mere inch off the ground. Cusco sway bars along with tower braces, h-brace and c pillar bar get this WRX through the corners like its on rails.

Looks can go in many different directions, but one thing is constant; a car just doesn’t look right without a proper stance. Robb took his 05 Subaru WRX to a new level chasing his state of stance, which did not come easy. It took rolling the fenders twice, taking a blow torch to his paint, ditching the fender liners, and stretching a 225 series tire onto a massive set of 18×10 +25 Miro STP’s.

Robb mentioned that his build has come a long way in the last three years since he acquired the car. He assured me that it is not done yet. So keep your eyes on this WRX as it will be making its rounds at events statewide.
