My favorite artists, DAFT PUNK, are in the StateofSTANCE headlines again! They are auctioning off the 1987 Ferrari 412 shown at the start of the 2007 movie Daft Punk’s Electroma. The car is in mint condition, still wears the HUMAN license plate as seen in the movie, and has been signed by DAFT PUNK members Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter. The Ferrari is one of several musician-related items being auctioned off by EMI Group as a fundraiser for disaster-relief efforts in Japan. Swedish supercar maker Koenigsegg has found a way to make 1,115 horsepower look even more impressive than it sounds, (well, sounds to say anyway), thanks to a matte-white and exposed dry carbon body. We’ve acquired these shots of the latest Koenigsegg, the Agera R, on display at the Geneva Auto Show a day ahead of its world premiere. But it’s what’s underneath that body that really matters. There’s a strong possibility that German tuning house MTM’s booth at the Geneva Motor Show will be visibile from space. The boys from Wettstetten are bringing their paint-free polished-aluminum Audi R8 BiTurbo to Hall 5 at Geneva. The company is mum on exactly how they removed all that paint, but they do allow that it took 700 hours of polishing to get the car where it is now.
