12 Hours of Sebring Endurance in our backyard Photogrpahy by Emil Garcia Peugeot, Peugeot. That’s was the shadow that was cast over the Audi Sport team at this year’s American Le Mans season opener. Peugeot has taken the opening win for the previous 2 years and with Peugeots departure from the American Le Mans series this year, Audi was sure to be winner right? Temperatures holding steady in the mid 80s, Friday’s qualifying sessions sorted the pack. With Audi Sport Team Joest taking 1, 2, and 3 in qualifying it was a safe bet to say that an Audi would cross the finish line on the podium. The LMP1 class battled hard throughout the...

Drift Sessions Hoons on the Lose Photography by Emil Garcia State of Stance was on site this past Sunday for some shenanigans with the boys over at Drift Sessions & Drift Academy. Countyline Raceway has been home to the guys from Drift Sessions and tons of local drifters, including myself, since 2007 and its been nonstop fun ever since. Every few weeks or so, Tim Murphy a.k.a. Mr. Drift Sessions, gathers a roster of “Hoonigans” for tire shredding, smoke churning, adrenaline fueled fun. The weather was a tad moist at the beginning of the day, but as the day progressed and the track dried the fun increased. Around mid- day...

The Irwindale Flag at Half Mast Irwindale Cancels All 2012 Events Irwindale Speedway has been the home to many events for the past 12 years. One of the most recognized of those events being NASCAR, and of course our favorite being Formula Drift. Even our very own Editor-in-chief, Leo Diaz, has memories there; seeing history take place as the very first US D1 event was held there. Throughout the years the track has seen its series of rough patches, however this most recent rough patch has led the track owners to release a press release stating the current cancelation of all major motoring events for the 2012 calendar year. This may come as...

Keeping It Simple Simplicity Meets Beauty Words & Photogrpahy By Emil Garcia A Honda Civic sedan, not a car that screams Aggression. Well a Honda Civic is exactly what Kendall, FL native Christopher Ayme was presented with. Chris took his normal grocery getter and set out on the path to make it a well stanced looker. Taking advantage of another local go-getter’s part out, he acquired a set of K-Sport Kontrol Pros and MB Battles. After a few hours of wrenching and tuning he was left with the car we present to you today. This Honda Civic takes simplicity to a whole new level. Coils, Wheels, Done! RedBull Emsee Do you See this EmSee Words and Photos by: Emil Garcia Car Culture is religion here at SoS. So when Red Bull, a company that has revamped car culture, does music, the staff here at SoS is on hand to witness it. Red Bull’s Emsee Tour made a stop in Miami this past Wednesday and it was an eargasm. The atmosphere was that of street corners and circle crowds where freestyle battles would subject your ears to a verbal onslaught of clever punch lines and euphemisms. The artists crowded the sidewalk early in the evening for a bit of banter and wordplay, warming up for the competition ahead of them. It was a call to arms for the...

Concerns circled throughout the paddocks as drivers debated the high bank of the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, yet the race continued, but only to end in dismay. Dan Wheldon (33) was an English born two time Indianapolis 500 winner who was a high spirited, inspiring individual to all who met and knew him. Wheldon started at the back of the pack for the Indy 300 and by the eleventh lap had already made his way up to 24th position and inching closer up the grid when tragedy struck. Two...
